Invitation from the Conference Chairman

Dear colleagues,

It  is a  great  pleasure  and  honor  to  invite you to  Zagreb to the 4th International Ergonomics Conference. The city of Zagreb with its long university  tradition  and  extensive  congress facilities,  offering a wide range of  social and  cultural activities,  represents a  perfect  setting to celebrate 35th anniversary of the Croatian Ergonomics Society.

35 years ago, the ‘‘Croatian Ergonomics Society’’ (CES) was  founded in Croatia. The society is committed to these aims,  and  works  with the International  Association    of   Ergonomics  Societies   under   the  a uspices   of   the    IEA  (International  Ergonomics Association) and the Federation of European Ergonomics Societies.  Modern technology makes many new ideas possible.

Through  new  developments  and the  tendency  to cross international borders  in  the   age of  globalization,  modern  technology  essentially determines  the  pattern  of human work.  The aim of ergonomics,  and thus  the aim of the societies who support this congress, is to investigate work   and  working  conditions  by  scientific methods in order to bring about  an  approach  to  the  human  design of working condition.  This human-related view delivers a new dimension in the quality of work and  of products, which will be considered within the framework of the conference.  The aspects covered by the conference will encompass user-friendly products, human adapted working places, human organization of working conditions, and regulations, especially as these aspects can be seen in the light of changing enterprises of the future.

All   the   IEA  and  FEES  Members  and   others  interested  in participating are very welcome  to  join  us  in  Zagreb to the 4th International Ergonomics Conference.
